This one was in Old Bridge (Madison Township at the time), NJ. Jake Brown Road off of Rt 9. ...not much there now.

Nike Missle Base on Sandy Hook NJ... If you are interested there asr a lot of interesting Military History in this area... pan to the 19th Century gun emplacements used to protect NYC and NY Harbor a long time ago... Area is now a National Park and Coast Guard Station.

Are you certain that image number 1 is Old Bridge? I didn't think that the O.B. Nike site was that far in off of route 9.

Meh. All I can see is the historicaerials.com watermark. Not really all that interesting to me.

Here's the 1960 view of the Nike Missile site in Westport, CT. It was the location of "Rally Round the Flag Boys" with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. The couple loved Westport so much while filming the movie that they decided to make it their home.

image 1 is old bridge but it is of only the launch complex. a little southeast is the trailers they lived in and just past it is the control room.

Image 1 is the area where the radar was which was further into the woods area. the Missiles were nearer to Rt 9 as you came onto the base on the right side.

I played there as a kid in 1986. Not a whole lot was there, mostly empty land. We flew RC aircraft there, and lost a few in the trees, lol.
